Lillian D. Horton swears by the correctness of her new family history, A Part of Southern Franklin County's Relatives, 1800 - 2004: "It's the gospel truth."
The North Carolinian's book contains not only genealogical data, but also her favorite recipes ("I'm an excellent cook," Horton said not too modestly. "I've cooked all my life."), and tidbits of history she's picked up over the years.
"I'm a historian," Horton said when asked why she compiled all those factoids. “I took every bit of history and economics I could in school. People don't know nothing these days." [Link]
