A Baby to Be Named Later

A father in Ireland was granted an injunction Monday to stop his ex-girlfriend from naming their baby without his involvement. He claims that she turned up her nose at the "dozens" of names he proposed.

During the pregnancy, he said the couple had discussed names.

They did not come to any agreement about a name before the birth. After the birth, the man said a serious disagreement arose about the child’s forename, but also the process of making the decision.

The child’s surname, the man said, is not at issue but he said the mother is unwilling to take any suggestions on first names. [Link]
Among his proposed forenames for the baby girl: Oprah, Gidget, Paris,, and Osama.

The mother, however, wants to name the baby Christopheria Dunham.

It does have a nice ring to it...
