Still Waiting for the Conscientious Objector Database...

Ancestry.com is offering free access to its Military Collection through the end of May. Here's what's new:

  • U.S. Army, Register of Enlistments (1798-1914) – 1.3 million names
  • Returns from Regular Army Regiments (1821-1916) – not yet indexed
  • Headstones Provided for Deceased Union Civil War Veterans (1879-1903) – 170,000 records
  • U.S. Navy Cruise Books (1940 onward) – 66,000 records
